My thanks to all of you who have journeyed with us as I have reminisced about our first trip to Isla Mujeres. Writing this story was indeed a labor of love, because Ritsuko and I had such a wonderful time there that I really wanted to share our experiences with others.

We knew that we would return to Isla, but with everything going on in our lives at that time, we were uncertain as to when that would be. In the fall, we did decide to return, and booked a trip for 8 nights beginning October 27. While every trip is different, with the potential for finding paradise around every corner, there is just something special about the first time that one visits a magical place like Isla Mujeres.

I want to express my eternal gratitude to the folks who own, manage, and frequent the Isla Mujeres web site, www.isla-mujeres.net. Their love of the island is what convinced us to go there, and by writing these rambling little stories, I hope that I have made at least a small contribution to sparking the imagination of some of the yet uninitiated, but future Islaholics.
